About
A world of culture, craft, and timeless design. TA•MA was born from the desire to build a bridge between global artisanal heritage and a contemporary vision of design. Founded by Tamara Godivier, French-Chilean, and Marcus Cotterell, Australian-Italian, TA•MA reflects its founders: multicultural, discerning, and deeply connected to a love of beautiful, meaningful objects.
Based in Tuscany, a land rich in tradition and creativity, we embrace a thoughtful approach to design, shaped by our diverse backgrounds, our passion for materials, and a refined eye for form and function.
At TA•MA, we believe that beauty transforms space and the way we live within it.
Each object we create, from a hand-crafted lamp to a ceramic vessel, carries the quiet intention of shaping harmony, emotion, and presence. Our collections are born from a dialogue between craftsmanship and contemporary design, between material and light, between heritage and modern living.
Our first collection, Cuore di Mare, is inspired by the Aeolian Islands of southern Italy—shaped by wind, sea, and the resilience of women who once sustained these islands during times of war. Through ceramics, textiles, and objects for the home, we seek to capture that spirit of strength, simplicity, and Mediterranean light.
The name TA•MA resonates across languages and cultures. In Japanese, tama means sphere a form that is whole, open, and infinite. In other traditions, it carries meanings of integrity, perfection, pearl, soul, and precious essence.
From these layered meanings, the idea of the Tamasphere was born: a world, a feeling, an atmosphere. It is the invisible space we create through the objects we choose and the stories they bring into our homes.
When you bring a TA•MA piece into your space, you’re not just choosing design, you’re cultivating beauty, balance, and emotion.
You’re creating your own Tamasphere.
